The Seahawks added to their outside linebacker depth on Tuesday, signing Jamie Sheriff. Outside linebacker Josh Onujiogu was waived/injured to make room on the 90-man roster.
Sheriff, an undrafted rookie out of the University of South Alabama, took part in Seattle's rookie minicamp in May as a tryout player.
In three seasons at South Alabama, Sheriff appeared in 37 games, recording 109 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He capped his college career by earning Defensive MVP honors in the 68 Ventures Bowl, South Alabama's first bowl win in program history.
